Revamped Booking Guide Accomplishment  —

We addressed major usability issues, encompassing both visual and UX problems, within the old booking flow. By providing customers with a clear and step-by-step booking guide tailored to their specific needs, we facilitated decision-making and encouraged them to book.

Our approach encompassed comprehensive user interviews, analysis of Hotjar recordings for valuable insights, implementation of usability tests, and hands-on, in-person usability testing on a live-coded page to continuously iterate and enhance the booking guide.

Our efforts led to a 13% increase in sales, thanks to the improved booking guide, which significantly enhanced the overall user experience and contributed to business growth.

Search for User Convenience  —

Challenge

The search box lacked essential functions, such as the ability to directly type in the desired destination.

Findings: User feedback consistently highlighted the frustration around manually inputting travel party details, especially children's ages, during the search process.

 Solution

Approach: Upon creating an Apollo account, users' search boxes are pre-filled with their home airport, travel party information, and preferred number of rooms.

Outcome: A more seamless and expedited search experience, reducing user irritation and enhancing convenience during the booking process.

Filter Accessibility for Seamless User Navigation  —

Challenge

Users faced challenges finding the filter feature within the interface, affecting their navigation experience.

Findings: Customer feedback emphasized the need to filter based on meal plans, price, and proximity to the beach.

Solution

Approach: Positioned the filter option at the top of the search interface as a persistent element, ensuring easy access throughout the user journey.  Prioritized the most common filters for immediate visibility on the desktop interface.

Outcome: Improved user navigation by strategically placing the filter option at the top of the interface, ensuring seamless access during the hotel browsing stage.

Redesigning Hotel Cards for Improved User Experience  —

Challenge

The existing hotel card overwhelmed users with an excess of information and displayed a small hotel image that failed to highlight crucial details effectively.

Findings: Users prioritize specific details like the hotel image, distance to the beach, and price when making decisions.

Solution

Redesign Approach: Enlarged the hotel image, removed unnecessary clutter, and prominently displayed essential information like the price. This focused redesign aims to ensure users can easily access and prioritize vital details for a more user-friendly and efficient experience.
